The increase in useful counts in 3D over 2D is accompanied by a relative increase in detected scatter and random events, which have to be accurately corrected. The combination of LSO, Pico-3D and TrueC, our scatter correction algorithm efficiently handles increased computational complexity and delivers the highest image quality and accuracy for routine 3D scanning.
