The Royal Bournemouth is an acute-care general hospital with a large regional cardiac unit. In November 2007, a novel cardiac work in progress (WIP) software package was introduced on their 1.5T Siemens MAGNETOM® Avanto MRI system.

A 64-year-old male patient with hypertension and type-2 diabetes who had been the recipient of a transplanted kidney was referred for evaluation of the transplanted renal artery to rule out an anastomotic stenosis as a cause for diminishing renal function.
