Siemens Healthcare received in the category „Large Companies“ the national EMAS Award 2007 for the special Design of their X-Ray tubes.

| EH&S | EH&S Environment, Health & Safety EH&S means operational environmental protection, Health protection and occupational safety. |
| COCIR | European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical and Healthcare IT Industry COCIR is a non-profit organization founded in 1959 that represents the medical devices industry in Europe. |
| EMAS | Environmental Management and Audit Scheme EMAS describes the guidelines for voluntary participation of commercial companies and organizations to the European Union community for implementation of environmental management systems. EMAS guidelines relates to production sites. |
| IEC | International Electronic Commission The International Electronic Commission has its Headquarters in Geneva, and develops and issues international standards in electrical engineering and electronics. Some standards are developed together with ISO. |
| IPP | Integrated Product Policy The Integrated Product Policy (IPP) aims to track and record the environmental effects of a product across all lifecycles - beginning at development through to disposal in order to minimize them. |
| ISO 14001 | International Organization for Standards This is an international commercial standard for environmental management systems. |
| PREP | Product Related Environmental Protection Contains all aspects of product-related environmental protection, across all product life cycles. |
| ZVEI | Central association of electrical engineering and electronic industry ZVEI is a registered association and member of the federal association for German Industry. It represents political and technological interests on a national and international level and supports the undertaking of international standardizations. |
