State-initiated projects to make contributions based on our many years of experience and promote developments for sustainability.

IPP in medical technology, Refurbished Systems as part of the Environmental Pact of Bavaria

IPP project "Ecological Product Information for Diagnostic Imaging Units" initiated by the Hamburg Environmental Authority

Trade associations

Siemens is working with ZVEI¹, COCIR²and NEMA³ on joint solutions, e.g. concerning registration of substances contained in products and measurement of the environmental compatibility of products.

We support the approach of the IEC⁴ , i.e. to develop globally valid environmental standards for a harmonized process within medical engineering and technology.
