Founded in 1996 with 12 radiopharmacies, PETNET Solutions envisaged growing its network of radiopharmacies to promote global PET utilisation.

Siemens acquired (CTI) PETNET in March 2005 to strengthen its commitment to molecular imaging devleopment and the creation of dynamic new technologies.

Today PETNET Solutions operates one of the largest PET networks with over 49 radiopharmaceuticals and distribution centres at multiple locations. They are responsible for the production and distribution of PET radiopharmaceuticals to hospitals, clinics and research facilities for PET imaging.

PETNET Solutions pioneered the concept of the local PET radiopharmaceutical and distributuion centre in the UK with a series of firsts:

* 1st to open a commercial distribution centre
* 1st to manufacture FDG under a Marketing Authorisation
* 1st to open 2 production facilities in the UK.

PETNET Solutions is regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).  Every dose distributed is tested to European Pharmacopeial standards.  We are committed to delivering high quality PET tracers.
