Recent innovations in C-arm technology have considerably improved the workflow during surgery. High-end imaging systems like the Artis zeego combine flexibility with robotic precision and expand treatment options and 3D imaging directly in the OR.
Mounted on an industrial robot, the C-arm adapts to your workflow and can be moved out of the way when it is not needed. No patient movement required. At the same time, Siemens Artis zeego travels precisely from a park position to the previous acquisition position enabling a direct comparison of pre- and post images. This minimizes human interaction and error.
Intra-operative C-arm imaging has changed: now modern Siemens C-arm devices acquire 3D CT-like images in the OR with a quality which was not imaginable a few years ago. Intra-operative syngo DynaCT makes soft tissue including hemorrhages visible as traditional CT scanners has did outside the OR in the past.
Siemens' Artis family has exceeded traditional angiography by far and is moving faster and faster into intra-operative functional imaging. With Artis zee it is possible to visualize cerebral blood volume for the first time ever with a C-arm in the OR. No complicated transport of patients into CT scanners: structural and functional imaging occur seamlessly right on the OR table within a couple of minutes.
Smart visualization can ease and solidify decision making. Siemens syngo IFlow fuses an angio time sequence into one steady-state representation. Color represents the arrival time of the bolus. Thus, changes of flow during the intervention can be easily identified and measured, verifying the success of the procedures right on the OR table.
