The New Style “Halo” Prescreen, ferrous detection system is set to a higher sensitivity than the Entry System to detect objects as small as a hairpin. When placed in a prep area, patients, visitors and staff pass through the portal. Should a ferrous object be detected, the sensor array in the portal alarms both visually and audibly indicating the location of the ferrous material.

The New Style “Halo” Entry System installs in the doorway leading to the MRI scanner room. This unit detects large, potential projectiles from entering the room. It reduces the risk of after hours activities when trained staff may not be in attendance. It guards against items like IV Poles, oxygen bottles, and floor buffers form entering. The system will ignore material that is MRI safe or ferrous material with small mass. As a result nuisance alarms are minimized.
