When placed in a prep area, patients, visitors and staff pass through the portal. The New Style “Halo” Entry System installs in the doorway leading to the MRI scanner room. This unit detects large, potential projectiles from entering the room. It reduces the risk of after hours activities when trained staff may not be in attendance. It guards against items like IV Poles, oxygen bottles, and floor buffers form entering. The system will ignore material that is MRI safe or ferrous material with small mass. As a result nuisance alarms are minimized.
