Industry
Using Siemens RIS key industry initiatives to help you gain access to relevant information at a glance – Radiation Dose, Critical Test Result Management and Meaningful Use.
syngo® Workflow, the RIS component of the syngo Solutions, drives the radiological workflow from order entry to report distribution. Productivity and workload of personnel and connected modalities can be evaluated by the management reporting module. In order to achieve higher productivity, syngo Workflow provides task-related work lists for individual roles/individuals in the department.
Scheduling
Designed for Radiology department scheduling needs, this module can coordinate patient and resource schedules across departments and entities; book multiple appointments at once for the patient; automatically check for conflicts, prerequisites, and duplicates.
Mammography
Siemens syngo Mammography module is a fully integrated set of functions used to capture and maintain comprehensive information per finding on Mammography patients, their studies, and all necessary follow-up. The Mammography module includes support for the standardized reporting system used by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This support enables you capture information for ACR, HCFA, MQSA, and JCAHO standard compliance.
Siemens is a National Mammography Database (NMD) certified vendor.
Integration
Siemens Healthcare co-founded IHE and actively promotes increasing interoperability of modalities, imaging and information systems. Siemens plays a key role in developing and advancing IHE and relevant healthcare standards.
syngo Portal Radiologist
Quick and structured access to the information and tools radiologists need
The syngo® Portal Radiologist offers role-based access to relevant information and tools. It is structured according to radiological workflow, delivering high efficiency and effective task organization when checking requests, reading images, and signing reports.
syngo Portal Executive
Clear overview of quality metrics and other key performance Indicators
The role-based syngo Portal Executive1/2 supports proactive management of issues relevant to executives and managers. Utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs), the portal enables objective measurement of productivity and quality parameters. With the ability to track trends, this solution ultimately supports executive decision making.
1Available with syngo Workflow versions V30A and above.
2 This solution is considered a non-medical device.
Radiation Dose Monitoring
syngo® Workflow is an excellent tool to assist in clinical decision making regarding medical imaging studies. With the utilization of Clinical Alerts, Interactive Documents and syngo Workflow's reporting capabilities it is possible to be alerted to opportunities to reduce unnecessary radiation exposure. syngo Workflow can alert the Imaging Staff that a similar study was performed within a site defined timeframe; this information can be critical in reducing unneeded exposure.
Critical Test Result Management
The Joint Commission established the Hospital National Patient Safety Goals, 2009 Goal 2, which requires hospitals to track their effectiveness at managing critical tests and results. syngo Workflow Critical Results is a cost effective solution that includes the ability to flag a critical finding within syngo Portal Radiologist, follow up on the critical finding and track the status of the critical finding within the RIS.
Meaningful Use
syngo Workflow can be configured to directly capture (via data entry screen), receive (via interface), store, and transmit text-based patient information related to the procedure including, but not limited to, demographics, medications, allergies, and diagnostic reports.
syngo Chorus MR
syngo Chorus MR is a unique feature used to ensure that procedure protocols established by the radiologist will be performed consistently. The radiologist can select the scanner for the procedure and change the procedure using the syngo Portal Radiologist Check Request. If the planned procedure is a follow-up, the check request task will display the procedure steps that were used during the prior procedure and offer the radiologist a pre-selection of the previous (old) steps, to make sure that the new procedure is one-to-one comparable.
syngo MammoReport
In conjunction with syngo Portal Radiologist, syngo MammoReport provides radiologists a single workstation to review, interpret and issue a final report on their mammography imaging studies.
