The Tyco Healthcare / Mallinckrodt OptiStar LE digital injection system is designed to inject MRI contrast agents and flushing solutions for purposes of enhancing diagnostic imaging of humans. The prescribing physician determines the contraindications for use of this device and based upon the contrast media packaging inserts. The Mallinckrodt OptiMark MRI contrast in its prefilled sizes of 10, 15, 20 and 30 ml sizes are specifically labeled for power injector use and are specifically designed for use with the Optistar LE injector.
