Enrollment for ultrasound technical service training courses is handled through Sokrates, the Siemens worldwide registration system. The Sokrates system is used for registering customer biomedical engineers and Siemens service engineers.
To register for a course, please contact your local Siemens service office. The service manager has access to the Sokrates system via Siemens intranet. If you do not know how to contact your Area Service Manager (ASM), in the United States call the Uptime Service Center (USC) at 1-800-767-2313 and give the service representative your site number (found on the service decal on your ultrasound system.) From the site number, the USC representative can look up the name and telephone number of your local ASM.
We recommend registering as far in advance as possible, in order to ensure a place in the course of your choice. About six weeks before the class, invitations are sent to engineers who are registered through Sokrates.
Confidentiality:
Customer biomedical engineers who participate in Siemens service training courses are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement before the course. The agreement serves to protect the proprietary nature of Siemens advanced technology.
Cancellation:
Occasionally, situations may arise that require an engineer to cancel the invitation. Should this happen, we request immediate notification so that the class seat may be offered to another customer or Siemens service engineer. Cancellation fees apply as shown in the following table.
| Cancellation | Fee |
|---|---|
| More than 10 business days before class start | None |
| Within 10 business days of class start | 50% of tuition |
| Within 48 hours of class start | 100% of tuition |
