Called “Echo in a Heartbeat,” this new technology marks the greatest paradigm shift in ultrasound since the introduction of 2D imaging in the late ’70s. ERLANGEN, Germany, May 28, 2008 – Siemens Healthcare (www.siemens.com/healthcare) announces the donation and implementation of important medical equipment to the China Red Cross and the Sichuan Provincial Healthcare Bureau, aiding in medical treatment of those affected by the May 12 earthquake that hit the Chinese province of Sichuan. The equipment was quickly routed to the disaster area to assist in the treatment of survivors. The donation of medical equipment follows Siemens EUR 180,000 cash donation and brings Siemens total contribution of aid to the Sichuan earthquake disaster to EUR 540,000. More
