In March 2011, Scott Davis was appointed acting Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Hearing Instruments, Inc. (SHI).
Scott is chartered with creating more value for Siemens customers through enhanced partner services, increased customer support and continuous product innovation. Scott leads SHI’s sales, marketing and operations in the United States while continuing his role as Vice President, Global CRM for Siemens Audiology Group.
Scott is a strong and dynamic leader with a proven track record of partnering with customers to deliver products and services that exceed patient expectations. In 2010, Scott began working with Siemens Audiology Group’s leadership team to develop several core strategic initiatives that are now being implemented as part of SHI’s current business model and company culture. Primarily, Scott is focused on ensuring that SHI maintains its legacy as a “family business” that is easy to do business with, while leveraging the strength of its parent company.
Before joining Siemens, Scott was a Partner and Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). During his tenure with BCG, Scott focused his attention on developing and executing successful growth strategies for a variety of large medical device and biopharmaceutical companies. Prior to BCG, Scott held numerous sales and operational leadership roles with leading advanced material technology companies.
Scott received his MBA with honors from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and his BS from Auburn University’s School of Engineering.
Tony Mannuccia was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Siemens Hearing Instruments, Inc. (SHI) in March, 2011. An accomplished financial executive, Tony joined SHI in 2007 and has been with the Siemens family for nearly 30 years.
As CFO, Tony oversees all financial aspects of the Company in North America. In addition to providing overall financial leadership and direction for SHI, he is responsible for maintaining strong financial accountability in various departments including Accounting, Controlling, Regulatory Compliance, Procurement, Information Technology and Credit/Collections.
Throughout his tenure with Siemens, Tony has consistently excelled in a variety of senior leadership roles. Before his appointment to CFO, Tony served as SHI’s Controller for over three years. During this time, he successfully streamlined processes and accounting, implemented new programs and harmonized reporting and compensation.
Prior to SHI, Tony worked for several other Siemens companies in various financial and commercial capacities. In 2005, he was assigned the Controller role at Siemens Demag Delaval. He has also been employed in numerous finance and business administrative roles including Director level positions with both Siemens Communications and Siemens Healthcare.
Tony received his Bachelor of Science from Manhattan College and earned his MBA in Corporate Finance from Fordham University.
A 26-year veteran of Siemens Hearing Instruments, Inc., Dr. Thomas A. Powers is currently the Vice President of Audiology and Compliance. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the audiological aspects of product development, exploring the newest technologies on the market, and is responsible for new product training programs for customers and Siemens staff. Dr. Powers is also the compliance officer for Siemens Hearing Instruments, Inc.
Dr. Powers joined Siemens in 1981 and worked in various capacities including Director of Audiology and Strategic Development. In 1988, he had the unique opportunity to fit former President Ronald Reagan with a Siemens hearing instrument, while he was in the White House.
He has lectured extensively at state, national, and international conferences on hearing instrument technology, outcome measures, and directional microphone technology. In addition to his professional career in the hearing healthcare industry, Dr. Powers is on the advisory board of both Ohio University’s Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences and the Audiology and Speech Sciences Department of Purdue University. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), a member of the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists (ADA), a member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), from which he has obtained a Certification of Clinical Competence in Audiology, as well as a member and president of the American Auditory Society (AAS) for 2004–2006.
Dr. Powers holds a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo in Speech and Hearing Science, plus a master’s degree and Ph.D. in Audiology from Ohio University.
Throughout her nearly 24 years with Siemens Hearing Instruments, Dr. Pamela Burton has excelled in various senior management positions with a primary focus on the customer. While initially concentrating her efforts in Audiology and Customer Care, she more recently assumed responsibilities in Education and Product Management.
In March 2010, Dr. Burton was appointed Vice President, Customer Care. In this role she is charged with overseeing customer communications via telephone while ensuring Customer Care consistently delivers world class customer service and establishes Siemens as the partner of choice for Audiologists and Hearing Care Professionals.
Dr. Burton has been a frequent lecturer at the state, national, and international levels, and has published numerous articles dealing with advanced technology products and their applications to individuals with hearing loss. She is an active member of the Academy of Dispensing Audiology, the American Academy of Audiology, and the American Auditory Society.
Dr. Burton began her career as a clinical dispensing audiologist and in 2006 earned her Au.D. (Doctor of Audiology) degree from Central Michigan University.
Alina Urdaneta brings more than 20 years experience to her position as Vice President of Marketing for Siemens Hearing Instruments, Inc. She is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategy, programs, and communications.
Prior to joining Siemens Hearing Instruments, Ms. Urdaneta led the marketing programs of Siemens Communications, Inc. There, she directed the company's transition to a software and services company by deploying the global Open Communications strategy, which enhanced Siemens image and awareness in the U.S. by 29% in purchase consideration.
Since May 2000, she has held engineering, sales, and marketing management positions at Siemens with increasing scope and responsibility. Her expertise encompasses marketing to customer channels and the influencer community. Her accomplishments include the implementation of an aggressive regional press program which increased activity by 90% over the previous year, as well as award-winning development channel programs and sales effectiveness tools.
Prior to Siemens Communications, Ms. Urdaneta was founder and general manager of Elequip Group, an engineering and commissioning firm that capitalized on the introduction of satellite and wireless communications in the Venezuelan and CALA markets. Early in her career, she held engineering management positions in one of Venezuela’s top engineering consulting firms, focused on process automation for the oil and petrochemical industries.
Based on Ms. Urdaneta's strong presence in the press and her innovative business contributions in technology, she was selected from thousands of employees from more than 100 companies to receive the prestigious award "Most Important Hispanic in Technology" for 2008 by the editors of Hispanic Engineer & Information Technology magazine.
Ms. Urdaneta's academic background includes electrical engineering with a combined BSEE and MSEE in Power Systems Engineering from the Universidad General Rafael Urdaneta, Maracaibo, Venezuela.
Dr. Ronald Gleitman brings more than 20 years of hearing industry experience to Siemens Hearing Instruments, Inc.
In his role as Vice President of Business Development and Practice Management, Ron is responsible for increasing market penetration in the Independent sales channel while overseeing the development and growth of SHI’s world-class preferred customer program.
Ron is an industry veteran with an extensive background in both a corporate and clinical environment. Before joining Siemens, he served as CEO and Executive Vice President of Right Hear, LLC, providing vision and oversight for the company. Prior to that, he worked for Phonak as the Director of Practice Development. Ron also spent many years working as an Audiologist in a clinical setting, including owning his own private practice.
In 1992, Ron earned his Ph.D. in Audiology from Purdue University. He has published numerous articles on hearing care and has taught at both Northwestern and Purdue University.
Greg Oden joined the U.S. offices of Siemens Hearing Instruments in the fall of 2011. He is responsible for all aspects of SHI’s supply chain management for North America.
Greg has over 25 years of varied and progressive leadership experience in operational roles with P&L responsibility. Throughout his career, he has successfully demonstrated a keen ability to implement programs and processes while maintaining a solid financial structure that ensures profitability.
Prior to joining SHI U.S., Greg served as Vice President of Operations for SHI Canada for nine years. During that time, he oversaw all manufacturing, quality, EH&S, logistics, procurement and IT functions. He led and participated in various worldwide leadership teams and was instrumental in bringing new processes and products to market.
Greg’s educational background centers around management and other related supply chain programs acquired through Wilfred Laurier University and Mohawk College in Canada.
