Dot™ (Day optimizing throughput) provides the optimized MRI workflow with a customizable framework for patient personalization, step-by-step user guidance, and exam automation. Dot helps the user perform their routine work quickly and efficiently – taking the complexity out of MRI scanning with image and text guidance and workflow automation.
Dot takes the complexity out of MRI scanning, resulting in:
Dot is personalized
Patients are different. Dot gives you uniquely tailored, optimized scans configurable to patient condition or clinical questions.
Dot is guided
Dot guides the user with images and text, helping novices to scan more expertly and experts scan more efficiently and quickly. This results in greater efficiency for all levels and increased image consistency.
Dot is automated
With intelligent, automated workflows customized to your standards, Dot takes efficiency to a whole new level – resulting in faster scans.

The Dot engines are the tools that allow you to tailor and customize your workflow and simplify MRI scanning for various clinical indications and body regions. Experience the world of Dot.
Brain Dot Engine
For the most commonly performed MRI studies, examinations of the brain, the Brain Dot Engine enables consistent brain imaging regardless of the patient condition and also in case that conditions change during an examination. The Brain Dot Engine has been designed to meet even the most challenging brain exams.
Abdomen Dot Engine
MR examinations of the liver are regarded as one of the most complex MR exams. The challenge today is the calculation of the timing. The Abdomen Dot Engine guides you through the examination and automates important workflow steps to help you achieve excellent results, consistently.
Angio Dot Engine
The Angio Dot Engine is designed to empower the user to perform high spatial resolution contrast-enhanced MR angiography. This can often even be achieved using less contrast medium.
Cardiac Dot Engine
Cardiac imaging is widely regarded as one of the most complex exams in MRI. To bring cardiac MRI to the routine, the Cardiac Dot Engine guides you through the examination step-by-step to help you achieve excellent results, consistently. In addition patient specific adaptation to the patient condition and workflow automation helps the user to achieve fast and consistent results.
Knee Dot Engine
MR examinations of the knee are commonly performed in a variety of settings ranging from hospitals to out-patient centers. The Knee Dot Engine is designed to provide efficient and flexible 2D and 3D imaging workflows, while allowing user-independent and reproducible image quality.
TimCT Angio Dot EngineThe TimCT Angio Dot Engine makes MR angiography exams even easier with guidance throughout the exam by providing the user with a visual display of arterial and venous timing windows whenever a test bolus technique is performed. With syngo TimCT technology, peripheral angiography exams can be performed up to 30% faster. The information is fed back into the next planning steps so scan parameters can be adapted to the individual patient and patient’s condition. Where needed, automatic voice commands support the communication with the patient.
TimCT Onco Dot EngineThe TimCT Onco Dot Engine is designed to enable multi-region scanning. It combines integrated, continuous table movement techniques (syngo TimCT) with Dot’s dynamic acquisition of the abdomen, which is especially focused on the liver. This engine helps ensure correct contrast timing in dynamic examinations and results in increased exam speed with excellent diagnostic information.
Take a moment to experience the features and benefits of Dot from the experts and learn how you can increase your productivity by up to 50%.
