ACUSON S2000 ultrasound system
Siemens’ implementations of Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) technology, Virtual Touch™ Tissue Imaging1 and Virtual Touch™ Tissue Quantification1 have been further optimized on the ACUSON S2000 ultrasound system. These leading-edge technologies add a new dimension to the diagnostic process by interrogating and measuring the stiffness of tissue which may be correlated with pathology. Virtual Touch Tissue Quantification is the first application to provide a numerical value related to tissue stiffness at a precise anatomical location which is promising in identifying early stages of liver diseases causing cirrhosis.
The ACUSON S2000 system integrates advancements in Cadence™ contrast pulse sequencing technology providing highly sensitive agent detection with outstanding enhancement uniformity, high frame rates, and a range of frequencies and transducers to suite your workflow.
The clinical applications of the ACUSON S2000 system for OB/GYN has been expanded to include skeletal rendering, which uniquely provides detailed visualization of the fetal skeleton through 3D data rendering.
ACUSON X300 Premium Edition
Expanded clinical applications for the ACUSON X300 PE will be previewed at RSNA 2009. New transducers include the 4V1c designed to address the technically difficult to image cardiac exam. The system will also feature contrast agent imaging for abdominal applications.
Automated Breast Volume Ultrasound
Siemens will also feature automated breast volume ultrasound with the ACUSON S2000 ABVS system. Automated breast volume scanning takes the operator dependence and variability out of breast ultrasound, while at the same time streamlining workflow with an acquisition time significantly less than handheld scanning. Never-before-seen views of the breast such as the anatomical coronal view increase diagnostic confidence. Comprehensive BI-RADS® semi-automated reporting capabilities further enhance the clinical workflow.
1 - Not commercially available in the U.S.A.
2- At the time of publication, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has cleared ultrasound contrast agents only for use in LVO. Check the current regulation for the country in which you are using this system for contrast agent clearance.
Siemens ultrasound products and solutions deliver unprecedented image quality and streamlined workflow for increased diagnostic confidence. All systems feature adaptive ergonomics that enhance operator comfort and maximize flexibility in any clinical environment.
eSie Touch™ elasticity imaging uses gentle compression to provide a high resolution elastogram.
Virtual Touch™ tissue quantification1 measures shear wave speed to provide a fast and accurate numerical measurement related to tissue stiffness at a user-defined anatomical location.
Virtual Touch™ tissue imaging1 provides a qualitative gray scale map (elastogram) of relative stiffness for a user defined region of interest.
The ACUSON S2000 ABVS acquires full-field volumes of the breast, provides efficient and comprehensive analysis of the 3D data, and facilitates easy, semi-automated reporting.
Cadence™ contrast pulse sequencing technology2 (CPS) provides a non-linear imaging technique to effectively separate and display tissue or contrast; excellent for lesion detection and characterization.
Contrast Dynamics™ software1 is a quantification application used with Cadence contrast contrast pulse sequencing technology. The technology illustrates contrast agent enhancement by displaying graphs indicating changes of intensity over time within defined regions of interest (ROIs).
