syngo® Oncology Engine with TrueD™
Comprehensive Cancer Management
Comprehensive Cancer Management
TrueD™ is the world’s most advanced cancer management tool for hybrid imaging. It supports the entire cancer management workflow — from initial diagnosis to staging, therapy planning, and follow-up. TrueD™ is a unique multi-modality application that enhanced your clinical workflow. Fast, easy and intuitive, the application enables efficient reading of patient scans from single and multiple imaging sessions. TrueD™ provides advanced image analysis and comparison to help physicians make better informed diagnosis, therapy and follow-up decisions.
To learn more about how syngo TrueD™ for comprehensive cancer management, we invite you to select a topic of interest under a given workflow chapter (e.g. Diagnosis, Staging, Therapy Planning and Follow-Up) to learn more about the TrueD™ features available to you at each specific step in your oncology workflow.
With TrueD™, your case loads in seconds. Images are registered and fused automatically. The case is displayed in your customizable layout. Lesions can easily be segmented and quantified using the iso-contour tool. Simply select a volume of interest, and TrueD™ automatically draws a 3D iso-contour based on your defined SUV threshold. To change your screen layout, simply select from the layout gallery. Or create your own screen layout by selecting a template and configuring your own display. Automated Lesion Segmentation is accomplished using the 3D freeform VOI tool. Just one click into a lesion already generates a boundary around the lesion and draws an iso-contour based on an adjustable SUV threshold. The segmentation is performed independent of size or location, which is particularly helpful near other physiological hotspots.

TrueD™ lets you fuse functional studies with any anatomical CT or MR study. The automatic image registration aligns images within a single time point and across multiple time points. When looking at fused studies, the alpha blender lets you gradually adjust the molecular contrast using your LUT of choice. You may also look at the CT images only, by moving the alpha blender all the way to CT, or at the inverse grey PET images with the blender all the way to PET. For efficient reading of multiple studies, you may link studies to achieve a synchronized view. You can easily select which parameters to synchronize across studies as you manipulate in one study. These parameters include: triangulation, windowing, alpha blending, scrolling, and zoom/pan. Finally, with the build-in reporting tool, you can then drag & drop key images from the thumbnail view into the report preview. You can customize the report with your own logo and distribute the file as pdf, text, or on.

VOIs can also be stored as DICOM RT Structure Sets. You may save the VOIs either for the active time-point, or for all loaded time points. Together with the anatomical images, the DICOM RT Structure Set can be exported to therapy planning systems. TrueD™ further allows you to display gated studies in cine mode, including fused series like PET and CT, if a matching number of gates is selected. You may create iso-contours and automatically propagate them across all gates. When monitoring response to therapy, you want to compare multiple studies across time points. Simultaneously load, register, and display up to three time points within seconds. Gating will improve your ability to: Determine the range of motion, precisely delineate lesions free from motion blur, improve characterization and SUV quantification of small lesions, and validate accuracy and success of radiation therapy. After segmenting a lesion on a gated study and propagating the VOI across all gates, a superset VOI can now be generated with 1 click that includes all VOIs of the selected gates. The Superset can than also be exported as an RT structure. In addition, the maximum extend of motion is calculated to help with therapy decisions.

With three time points loaded, how do you confidently assess response to therapy? Simply click Copy VOI to propagate new or existing VOIs from the base line report across all time points. Next, open the trending chart that provides you with at-a-glance therapy response information. For your VOIs, it plots a time series of SUV levels for a fast, quantitative assessment. Besides the visual chart representation, TrueD™ also displays comprehensive VOI quantification data across time points in a table format, including percent change calculations. To help improve accuracy further, the deformable registration algorithm helps to register studies across time points, even if tissue has shifted due to weight loss, surgery, therapy, patient positioning or motion. Correlated cursors let you pinpoint related pixels in the undistorted images, while the registration grid and map show the extent and direction of correction.
