Siemens recently introduced the 5.0 version of its ACUSON X300™ ultrasound system, premium edition (PE). This next-generation, all-digital system offers advanced imaging performance for a wide range of applications and patient body types. A true all-rounder, it can handle the most diverse clinical challenges – from cardiology and interventional cardiology to general imaging and OB/GYN – all in one compact, highly mobile package.
Advanced automated and semi-automated applications are available to improve the clinical workflow: the syngo® Arterial Health Package, which provides semi-automated IMT (intima-media thickness) measurements and vascular age assessment, syngo AutoOB measurements for automatic fetal biometry analysis, as well as syngo Mitral Valve Assessment. In addition, the ACUSON X300 PE features premium fourSight™ 3D/4D capabilities, including fourSight TEE, as well as comprehensive CARTO communication capabilities to support intra-cardiac catheterizations. A new P9-4 probe for neonatal cardiac applications completes the solution. To further enhance clinical processes, the ACUSON X300 PE features a 12-second power-up, full DICOM compatibility as well as customizable onboard reporting. Taking diagnostic confidence to the next level, the ACUSON X300 PE also features a Plus Option package that provides improved image quality, penetration and sensitivity for high density transducers.
The ErgoDynamic™ imaging system design of the ACUSON X300 PE allows for more efficiency and less operator fatigue in the clinical routine. With a height-adjustable control panel and articulating flat panel display, the system was designed with user comfort and mobility in mind. The operator-friendly console is centered on a home-base design to reduce arm and hand movement. Its lightweight, compact design and small footprint allow easy maneuverability and storage.
