The Anadolu Healthcare Center in Turkey is equipped completely with Siemens infrastructure solutions. Just recently, the center near Istanbul has acquired the status of a reference clinic.
Virtually from the first day on, Siemens has accompanied the planning phase of the Anadolu Healthcare Centers (AHC) in Turkey. Siemens not only provided the hospital with medical systems, but also with network infrastructure, IT solutions, energy technology and facility management, as well as building automation. In February 2005, AHC went into service. Customers from all over the world can now come to see the smooth workflow in this reference clinic for infrastructure solutions from Siemens.
The hospital management has invested about US$16 million for IT and for around 40 medical systems. Besides the systems for radiology, cardiology, nuclear medicine, and oncology, the hospital has relied on IT solutions from Siemens Healthcare. Soarian® MedSuite, for instance, the hospital information system (HIS) from Siemens, facilitates communication processes – from the patient’s admittance to his discharge and the final billing. It is the first installation of this workflow management worldwide. In addition to Siemens picture archiving and communication system (PACS), the hospital also chose to implement syngo® Workflow, the radiology information system (RIS) component of syngo Suite. syngo Workflow supports all processes for the exchange and distribution of patient data and images. Siemens also provided the oncology information system LANTIS.
Tuncay Ozilhan, Owner and CEO of Anadolu Holding, underlines the good cooperation, “Thanks to Siemens, we can offer our patients the highest technological standard.” The AHC has aimed at providing their patients first class medical care. This includes in-patient and out-patient medical diagnosis and therapy, supporting a healthy life with prevention and check-ups, rehabilitation, education of medical staff, and medical research.
