The Balancing Act Welcomes Siemens Hearing Instruments—and Former Miss USA to the Show!

(Pompano Beach, FL October 2009)  Here’s a statistic that I’m sure many of you might not be aware of. According to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders approximately 17-percent or 36-million American adults report some degree of hearing loss. With this alarming statistic in mind, The Balancing Act has invited Siemens Hearing Instruments to the Show—and speaking on their behalf is former Miss USA, Shawnae Jebbia.  Make sure you tune in October 22nd at 7:30am (EST/PST) as they air on the Lifetime Channel.

Shawnae Jebbia, Miss USA 1998 joins The Balancing Act to talk about her exciting life after being crowned—then suddenly how everything came to a halt after she began to lose her hearing. After seeking the help of doctors, Shawnae was diagnosed with the onset of Meniere’s disease-- which was affecting her ability to hear.
