Description:
This 4½ day course is intended for KinetDx system administrators who need to configure, administer, operate, maintain and troubleshoot the KinetDx DS3000 and CWS3000 servers. This intensive course will give students the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical experience to become immediately productive at a specific set of defined KinetDx system administration skills.

Prerequisites:
Required: Prior experience working with Clinical Networking equipment or Siemens modalities
Recommended: COMPTIA Networks+ certification

Who Should Attend?
Siemens customer system administrators who will be working with KinetDx DS3000 or CWS3000 servers.

Key Objectives:

• Understand KinetDx System Architecture, Components, and Workflow
• Understand the KinetDx Server and Workstation Hardware
• Perform server and workstation administration functions and procedures
• Create report templates and reporting distribution strategies
• Configure connections from KinetDx to new modalities and viewing stations
• Configure connections from KinetDx to other DICOM equipment.
• Configure a Sequoia for Network and DICOM configurations
• Understand proper DAT, DLT, CDR and DVD media handling procedures
• Perform archiving to standalone DLT, CDR and DVD devices
• Understand how to perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance tasks
• Understand specific Server administration issues such as reboot intervals, defragmentation, CHKDISK, available disk space
• Perform archiving to DLT Libraries and DVD Jukeboxes
• Know how to resolve common problems with hardware, faxing, networks, archiving, database backups, DICOM, report templates
• Know how to troubleshoot problems with Windows, Ethernet, TCPIP and DICOM
• Know how to be prepared for a Disaster Recovery scenario
