Once again, it's time for Siemens customers to share their inspiration. Take the Siemens 2009 Inspired Healthcare Outcomes Challenge.

Now more than ever, your inspired achievements in applying health information technology are in demand.

Here's why:

• Originators of three of the "most inspired" responses will receive a voucher from Siemens webShop in the amount of $10,000. Good for one year, the voucher can be used to purchase educational or consulting services for the Siemens customer originating the submission.
• Your inspired health IT solution can inspire others, especially now as they plan their own solution roadmaps for securing funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The best practices you share can help others as they establish the "meaningful use" of healthcare IT needed to qualify for ARRA funding.
• You'll earn the recognition of your peers in healthcare.
• Most importantly, your healthcare process know-how, technological finesse, dedication, and talent can have an inspiring impact on patients' lives. It's inspiring. And it deserves to be recognized.

To participate, tell us about the exceptional outcomes you have achieved or best practices you have implemented through your use of Siemens Health Information Technology. Submissions will be evaluated on success in realizing improvements such as:

• Enhanced patient safety/improved clinical outcomes
• Improved financial outcomes
• Increased operational efficiency
• Successful implementation/migration
• Reduced impact on the environment (e.g., reduced power consumption, pollution)

The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Three organizations will be recognized and honored at Innovations '09 in Philadelphia, Pa., August 9-12, 2009. Attendance at Innovations is not required to participate in the Challenge.
