Tissue Strain Analytics could represent the most important development in ultrasound technology since the advent of Doppler imaging. Siemens’ comprehensive suite of Tissue Strain applications provides a new dimension of diagnostic information through either qualitative assessment or quantitative measurement of the mechanical stiffness of tissue.
Tissue strain analytics complements conventional ultrasound exams by providing an extra dimension of information--mechanical stiffness. This additional information can be combined with anatomical (B-mode) as well as vascular (Doppler) information such that the actual diagnosis is contained by the intersection of three dimensions of information.
eSie Touch™ elasticity imaging uses gentle compression to provide a high resolution elastogram.
Virtual Touch™ tissue imaging* is the first commercially available application of Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) technology for evaluation of deep tissues not accessible by superficial compression elastography.
*Not available in the USA.
Virtual Touch™ tissue quantification* measures shear wave speed to provide a fast and accurate numerical measurement related to tissue stiffness at a user-defined anatomical location.
*Not available in the USA.
