LANTIS System Management

LANTIS System Management is designed for OCS customers or applications specialists needing a working knowledge of the System Management portion of the basic LANTIS Record and Verify system. Taught and demonstrated in a classroom setting, this course will expedite and enhance on-site training (if applicable) which will generally be done after the completion of the course. The course will prepare LANTIS users to set-up their system according to their department’s unique objectives and requirements. A maximum of 10.0 Category A ASRT-approved CE credits will be awarded at the completion of this course.

Prerequisites

Basic computer and Windows experience is strongly recommended. Experience using LANTIS or IMPAC’s Multi-Access Record & Verify system is helpful but not required.

Who Should Attend?

OCS customers or applications specialists needing a working knowledge of the System Management portion of the LANTIS Record and Verify system.

Goals

Develop and understanding of LANTIS basics, including, but not limited to, Department Setup and Optimization, database maintenance and general responsibilities of a LANTIS System Manager.

Develop a working knowledge of LANTIS staff member security attributes, and an understanding of their effects within the LANTIS environment.

Develop a working knowledge and understanding of all Data Directories and Libraries in LANTIS.

Become proficient in characterizing new treatment machines in LANTIS.

Objectives

Through comprehensive classroom lectures, develop knowledge of database maintenance, and general responsibilities of the LANTIS System Manager.

Demonstrate an understanding of staff interactions, at different levels, within the LANTIS system.

Through hands-on practice and classroom training, learn to create tolerance tables used to verify a LINAC’s geometric parameters against prescribed parameters in treatment fields.

Demonstrate proficiency when using and editing items in the Staff Directory, Location Directory, External Directory, Facility Directory, Payer Directory, Medications Formulary, Procedures and Supplies Library, Morphology Codes Library, and Topography Codes Library.

Through comprehensive lectures and hands-on practice, develop an understanding and working knowledge of Department Setup and configuration and Machine Characterization.

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

Explain the functionality of the System Utilities section of LANTIS

Demonstrate proficiency in setting staff securities and department locations

Configure treatment machine tolerances and explain how they affect the V&R process

Demonstrate an understanding of Data Directories and Libraries
