Course Description:
The Advanced syngoMR course is a 3&1/2 -day course designed for the experienced MAGNETOM MR user. The course is a combination of the syngo MR Protocol Optimization (1.5T) and Advanced Neuro Application courses which offers instruction in advanced imaging techniques and post-processing for those applications. Topics covered in lecture are Protocol Optimization, Spectroscopy, Breast Imaging, Manual Adjustments, Perfusion, fMRI/BOLD, 3D Neuro, iPAT and Flow Quantification / Phase Contrast. This is a "hands-on" course, utilizing simulation consoles to demonstrate typical operations, advanced post-processing and protocol development.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Optimize protocol parameters to improve image quality
• Optimize Manual Adjustments for a variety of conditions and exams
• Understand the principles and optimal application of iPAT
• Optimize the Spectroscopy Exam and Post-Process Data
• Optimize the Flow Quantification Exam and Post-Process Data
• Optimize Advanced Neuro Applications and Post-Process Data

Audience:
This course is designed for the technologist who will be operating a syngoMR-based MAGNETOM with a full range of advanced programs in a hospital or outpatient center.

Course/Skill Prerequisites:
Minimum 6 months experience on a syngo MR MAGNETOM system is required. Comprehensive knowledge of the software operation is essential, regardless of actual MR experience. The technologist must be able to operate the software efficiently in order to benefit from the course and take part in the interactive, hands-on exercises of the class. Experience with Advanced Applications in desired.

Classes will be held 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Tuesday - Thursday & 8:30 am - 12:00 Noon on Friday.
