Oncology Service Essentials 2 (OSE2) builds on the learning activities of Oncology Service Essentials 1 (OSE1) and the required three-month period applying those skills on-the-job. This course provides the new hire CSE with advanced system troubleshooting, calibration, and repair skills for Linear Accelerator, LANTIS, MLC, and BEAMVIEW. OSE2 focuses on hands-on activities that enable the CSE to troubleshoot and fix AFC, RF, Flatness and Symmetry troubles, as well as resolve mode faults. This course includes concentrated studies in troubleshooting, and fixing MLC troubles; performing BEAMVIEW image turning procedures; and configuring LANTIS. This course emphasizes a hands-on approach to learning.

Prerequisites

Complete Oncology Service Essentials 1 (OSE1)

Complete three months of on-the-job-training following OSE1

This course is designed for new hire Customer Service Engineers (CSEs) that have completed OSE1 and three months of on-the-job training.
