Course Description
The syngo MR Protocol Optimization (1.5T) Advanced course is a 3 day course designed for the experienced MAGNETOM MR user. The course will focus on protocol optimization for the MAGNETOM Avanto, Espree, Symphony, and Sonata systems. Topics covered in lecture include parameter manipulation, iPAT, breast imaging, application tips for improving image quality and advanced techniques in a variety of clinical areas. This course utilizes computer simulation consoles to demonstrate routine operations, parameters and protocol development.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to

• Optimize exam protocols to improve image quality
• Understand protocol parameters and their relation to individual sequences
• Optimize techniques for imaging silicone and saline breast implants
• Understand the advantages, principles and applications of iPAT

Audience
This course is designed for the technologist who will be operating a syngo MR-based MAGNETOM Avanto, Espree, Symphony or Sonata in the clinical setting.

Course/Skill Prerequisites
Minimum of six months experience on a syngo MR MAGNETOM system is required. Comprehensive knowledge of software operation is essential, regardless of actual MR experience. The technologist must be able to operate the syngo MR software efficiently in order to benefit from the course and take part in the interactive, hands-on exercises of the class.
