The system also routinely delivers unmatched image quality in cardiac, neurology and body imaging applications with an isotropic spatial resolution of 0.4 millimeters.

This carotid computed tomography angiographic (CTA) image was acquired on Siemens Medical Solutions’ SOMATOM Sensation® 64 with z-Sharp™ technology. The superb resolution of less than 0.4 mm allows delineation of severe stenosis caused by plaque in the artery.
SOMATOM Sensation Open
With an 82-centimeter extended field-of-view and 82-centimeter large gantry bore, the SOMATOM® Sensation Open from Siemens is designed to facilitate improved patient accessibility and positioning. As the first open 40-slice system, the product enables new levels of diagnostic support for CT-based radiation treatment planning, trauma applications, interventional procedures, and imaging of bariatric patients.
SOMATOM® Emotion 16
Siemens’ SOMATOM Emotion 16-Slice Configuration provides a comprehensive set of clinical applications, including syngo® LungCARE CT with NEV (Nodule Enhanced Viewing) and syngo Colonography with PEV (Polyp Enhanced Viewing) for the computer-supported visualization of lung lesions and colon polyps. For radiation therapy planning, the recently introduced CT Respiratory Gating application permits the visualization of lung tumors during breathing.
