Expand your horizons.

The U-Systems somo.v™ Automated 3D Breast Ultrasound System, distributed by Siemens, is an automated breast ultrasound system that provides 3D ultrasound images of breast tissue.

The integrated workstation allows the operator to select individual diagnostic planes, including a high-resolution coronal view, not achievable on 2D ultrasound.

The somo.v™ is ideal for high-volume, dedicated breast centers as well as radiology departments focused on breast imaging.

somo.v™ Acquisition Station provides an automatic sweep of the breast:
  • One button automated execution
  • Computer analysis sets parameters to optimize image acquisition
  • Standardized positioning provides consistent, reproducible images
  • Stabilizing membrane minimizes breast movement

Automated breast ultrasound: fast, cost-effective, patient-friendly

Coronal View of breast
with multiple cysts

The U-Systems somo.v™ system provides a fast, cost-effective, patient-friendly solution for scanning the breast. The workstation with a display system allows for comprehensive review and diagnosis using 3D ultrasound data.

The somo.v™ 3D real-time rendering combines tissue signals from multiple adjacent scan planes, allowing the breast to be displayed as a volumetric image. Detailed positional references within the images provide a visual reference in the breast relative to the nipple, depth, and distance from the skin line for ease of use and enhanced workflow.
