What is syngo BRACE?

Correction of patient motion is a fundamental processing step for dynamic breast MRI.
syngo BRACE (BReast Aquisition and CorrEction) is a dedicated 3D offline motion correction; it offers post processing in-plane and through-plane across the whole data set. Additionally, it enables higher accuracy especially for small, multi focal lesions. As a one-of-a-kind technology, syngo BRACE performs an image-based soft tissue motion correction to improve the image quality of subtraction images in breast MRI studies. In particular, this correction software removes motion artifacts that commonly occur when the patient moves during the exam and enables the physician to make more accurate diagnosis. syngo BRACE is a non-rigid body or warping registration. It is particularly designed for breast lesions, which can easily be distorted between imaging sessions. This technique is unique and improves the quality of registration results.

Clinical applications

  • syngo BRACE is a three-dimensional motion correction, which works offline in all planes.
  • syngo BRACE can be applied on 2D and 3D datasets.
  • syngo BRACE compensates for motion created by involuntary motion.
  • syngo BRACE compensates for global patient motion.
  • syngo BRACE reduces artifacts and generally improves the quality of registration results.
