Service Features
Siemens Virus Protection comprises a comprehensive range of service features aimed at ensuring a high level of security for your systems on a continuous basis. It is available in two individually adaptable program levels: Virus Protection Select and Virus Protection Premium.
From the moment the virus scanner software is installed on your system, we continuously update your system remotely with the latest validated virus pattern and scan engines, as well as with all security-relevant and validated Microsoft® hotfixes. In the event of a virus infection, Siemens Virus Protection is there to provide you maximum support in getting your system up and running again as quickly as possible.
Service Features in detail
- Virus scanner installation
Expert installation of the thoroughly tested virus scanner Trend Micro™ OfficeScan™ to continuously monitor your system for malicious attacks – without interrupting your clinical applications.
- Ongoing remote virus scanner updates
Optimal system and network protection through ongoing automatic remote updates of the latest validated virus pattern and scan engines. Installation of virus scanner updates is performed during the system boot phase to avoid interruptions of the clinical routine.
- Fast virus elimination in the event of an infection
Through the continuous event monitoring of your system, you enjoy fast expert assistance in getting your system up and running again in the event a virus infection is detected including notification, elimination of the virus as well as restoration and recovery of your system software.
- Security hotline – UPTIME Service Center
Our local UPTIME Service Center is your immediate point of contact for up-to-date virus information, IT-security and technical matters, as well as for rapid support regarding Siemens Virus Protection.
- Regular updates with relevant hotfixes
Proactive monitoring, careful assessment and validation on a product specific basis of hotfixes released by Microsoft® to quickly provide your system with all IT- security relevant updates from our remote location. To proactively help protect the system from the intrusion of new viruses.
Siemens Virus Protection is available for Siemens systems which are linked to our SRS infrastructure using a VPN broadband connection and which are equipped with the required software version.
