There are no external cables on MOBILETT XP. How does Siemens make this possible?
By using a single tank which includes the X-ray tube and high voltage generator. No high tension cables are needed. Low voltage cables can be routed inside the stand. With the integrated cables, the system is easier to clean, there is longer lifetime of the cables and the cable is not in the way when positioning the tube over the patient.
The MOBILETT XP is so small and sleek compared to other systems. Is it possible to have such a lightweight design without having disadvantages at the same time?
Yes it is. We rely on good engineering and state-of-the-art technology. In reality, MOBILETT combines efficiency and high power – up to 30 kW and 360 mAs - in a very small package. The small size makes the unit easier to maneuver in small spaces, especially in elevators and between beds in ICUs, CCUs and neonatal departments.
Will the arm-system really remain in its position? Or will it go down after a while, especially after years in use?
Our double articulated arm-system is fully counter-balanced and has friction locks. It will remain in every position you want it to be, also after years of hard use.
And our dual-arm system is more flexible and much easier to position than a cross-arm system.
Do you always need motor assistance to drive MOBILETT XP? What happens if the batteries are too low?
If the batteries are too low, you can activate the freewheel function. Thanks to the lightweight design, it can easily be pushed. However, the motor-drive is especially useful for inclines, door thresholds, and carpeted aisles. If the batteries are to low, you can use conventional wall power for exposures.
