Siemens was a lead sponsor for the third year running at the recent Big Bang UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair at the NEC in Birmingham. It is the largest event promoting technology, engineering, science and maths for young people in the UK and was attended by thousands of school children from across the country. More

Siemens has announced today that Gunter Dombrowe, the current Managing Director of Siemens Healthcare Sector in the UK and Healthcare Sector Lead for the North West Europe Cluster, will retire from his position at the end of March. Siemens UK CEO, Roland Aurich, thanked Gunter Dombrowe for his more than 40 years of service to Siemens and, in particular, his success in the UK which includes not only a strong and competent organisation and a leading market share, but also pioneering the Public Private Partnership business for the Healthcare Sector, which is now being successfully adopted outside the UK also. Siemens Healthcare recently joined forces with the GB Rowing Team as its high performance partner, to take part in the Nation on Trial initiative, which aims to raise awareness of the UK’s third biggest killer, stroke and raise funds to assist with its diagnosis. Launched in partnership with The Stroke Association, the initiative invites the British public to take part in a sponsored two kilometre rowing machine time trial. Two kilometres is the standard world championship race distance the GB Rowing Team's top stars undertake. More
