Tickhill Road Hospital, which hosts Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s elderly rehabilitation service, has installed a MULTIX TOP analogue X-ray system from Siemens Healthcare.
The ergonomic design of the ceiling-mounted X-ray system enables radiographers to access patients from all sides of the table plus examinations can be carried out from head-to-toe without the need for patient repositioning. A programmable kick-switch for releasing the table brakes and table lift and one handed cassette operation further assists smooth operation.
“The MULTIX TOP is easy-to-use and makes gaining images straightforward for radiographers,” states Malcolm Greenwood, General Manager for Medical Imaging at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. “The design particularly aids elderly patients that have limited mobility because we can adjust the table to a position close to the ground and also perform standing X-rays using an extension to the tube.”
“The MULTIX TOP ensures reliable workflow with maximum patient comfort for a wide range of X-ray procedures,” states Sarah Sandhu, Regional Sales Manager at Siemens Healthcare. “The flexibility of the system means that high quality images can be achieved more easily at the same time as ensuring a high standard of patient comfort.”
