Frenchay Hospital, part of North Bristol NHS Trust, has recently installed an Artis zeeTM Multi-purpose (MP) interventional imaging system from Siemens Healthcare. The new system, located in the X-ray department, replaced an existing Siemens system which the hospital had been using for over ten years. The new system is being used for a number of procedures including fluoroscopy, proctogram examinations, transjugular liver biopsies and stent insertions, as well as handling a general interventional workload.
The Artis zee MP offers rapid image acquisition and post-processing capabilities, helping to improve departmental workflow. It is equipped with all the latest CARE (Combined Applications to Reduce Exposure) features and CLEAR post processing technology, supporting excellent image quality at the lowest achievable doses. The hospital selected the system from Siemens because it was felt it would be a reliable and flexible imaging solution that perfectly met departmental requirements and came from a trusted vendor.
