As a recent market entry, the mobile X-ray system Mobilett XP represents a revised product line by Siemens Medical Solutions. All mobile Siemens X-ray systems are characterized by both flexibility and high reliability. The system, easy to operate, is designed for application in Intensive Care, in pediatrics and on the hospital ward. The smiling giraffe’s face on the Mobilett helps soothe a child’s fear before the examination. The new Mobilett XP provides up to 10 times its former performance during image acquisition.
With or without a giraffe’s smiling face – Mobilett XP easily adjusts to the high demands of clinical routines in the hospital. Flexible and simple in its operation, Mobilett XP is the most light-weight system in its class and can be effortlessly moved to any location due to its weight-optimized design. The patient can either lie down, sit or take other positions during the examination. The double-joint swivel arm with its fully rotatable X-ray tube assembly ensures optimal positioning of Mobilett XP for image acquisition in the smallest of spaces.
For system version Mobilett XP Hybrid, a chargeable, performance-oriented long-life battery ensures cable-free operation. Narrow hallways, thresholds and inclines are easily handled by the motorized drive. The system either works with the rechargeable battery or is plugged into an outlet. In case the battery runs down during the examination, the work can be continued by simply plugging the system into an outlet.
The wide swivel range of the support arm allows Mobilett XP to be moved into any position, a feature that equips the system for handling the most demanding clinical applications – be it in Intensive Care, in pediatrics or on the ward next to the patient’s bed. Its high image quality obtained with very short exposure times makes the system especially suitable for use with newborns and in the pediatrics ward. And when the giraffe’s face of Mobilett XP smiles down on its small patients, they are no longer afraid of the examination.
