In what may be a routine chest X-ray or an emergency X-ray from a fall, we design the little features to provide comfort. During these examinations, the staff selects pre-set parameters for image acquisition – these parameters come with pre-programmed filters for skin dose reduction and automatically set the appropriate field size of X-ray beam for the region under examination.
These automated features provided by the AXIOM Aristos family lets the staff concentrate on the patient while allowing a high standard of radiation safety. Digital AXIOM Aristos VX Plus can deliver a 50%* dose reduction compared to an analog system.
Taking the routine chest X-ray as an example, Aristos VX Plus is designed with a little groove to rest your chin and two side handles for wrapping your arms around – for a more comfortable experience. With the neck comfortably stretched, the jaw and the back of the head does not obstruct the airway in the final image. For the same reason, the arms are comfortably spread so that the shoulder blades do not obstruct the lungs. Although the examination may be brief, we incorporate these designs for more than just comfort – the ergonomic design helps the staff to position patients for better images used for diagnoses.
Further comfort level for patients provides the tilting flat detector of Aristos VX Plus. For an examination of the foot, the detector can be lowered to a comfortable height and tilted to accommodate patients with mobility restrictions, making it easier and more convenient.
