The RIS makes it possible to have patient information appropriately coordinated between the entities. By sending follow-up information such as results, status, or charges to the proper front-end system, it also helps ensure that patient data are always up-to-date.

Consistency of image data
The RIS helps to monitor the image availability across the independent PACS systems – even with low-bandwidth connections. Based on administrative and order information, the RIS helps to manage the image flow to make the relevant data available when and where needed. In the event that an image is modified in one of the systems, the RIS helps to verify the consistency of the image across all connected PACS systems.
Synchronization of patient IDs
One of the most significant benefits of using a central RIS to manage multiple PACS is the synchronization of patients with their IDs. This allows potentially disparate patient identifiers to be aligned across the radiology departments.

syngo Workflow allows you to define which users have access to which patients and procedures for viewing or modification purposes.
