Siemens IONTRIS combines the advantages of active scanning for carbon ions and protons and enables the medical community to verify and extend the research of carbon ion treatments in a clinical environment.
Siemens IONTRIS is a CE-certified system on a technical level that is still unique worldwide. Particle therapy has been proven for dedicated tumors and is very promising for additional indications. Therefore, more clinical research will be necessary to establish this technology as a standard in tumor therapy.
