IM-RealART™ has what it takes for on-the-spot replanning in radiotherapy: It combines the diagnostic quality of an in-room CT with a software that rapidly adjusts contours and apertures into a new treatment plan. The ARTISTE and the ONCOR linac quickly incorporate the plan changes, while their multileaf collimators translate the modified plan into beam shapes.

Part of IM-RealART, the CTVision™System features a SOMATOM™ CT scanner on rails, acquiring images in diagnostic quality, right in the treatment room. The pre-treatment CT scan provides clarity about changes in anatomy and tumor morphology.

With 160 leaves over the full field, Siemens’ 160 MLC Multileaf Collimator provides high conformity to tumor shape and position. With a high leaf speed of up to 4 cm/s, it quickly translates the modified treatment plan into reliable beam shaping.
