When integrated with the departmental RIS, examination requests are accepted by the system, leading to automatic selection of the prescribed organ programs. These organ programs include pre-set exposure and image processing parameters for optimal image quality – while optimizing workflow, these automated functions let you focus on your patients.
Once the organ program is selected, at the touch of a button, SmartMove lets you position both the x-ray tube and detector automatically into the required system position. If necessary, synchronized tracking control of the system enables flexible fine positioning adjustments. At the end of the day, it also translates into less physical strain from reduced manual movements.
With the new wireless remote control, steering key system functions like collimator settings and tabletop positioning is a breeze. Additionally, X-ray tube and detector positioning can be controlled from anywhere in the room.
The unique dual ceiling suspensions make for easy positioning of the tube and the FD panel for virtually all examinations. From routine chests through cross-table lateral views to sun-rise patellae - our unique, versatile AXIOM Aristos FX Plus works around the patient for maximum patient comfort and minimum examination times.
Our innovative solid state flat detector converts x-rays into a digital image matrix and this technique has clear advantages over traditional solutions based on film-screen cassettes. The benefits include instantaneous image display, post-processing and image enhancement possibilities with the potential for patient dose reduction.
Moreover, images acquired with the AXIOM Aristos FX provide 3k by 3K matrix and a generous 14 bit image depth; this equates 9 million pixels at 0.143 mm each for visualization of the most intricate image details.
With its high efficiency (Detective Quantum Efficiency, DQE) solid-state detector, AXIOM Aristos FX Plus provides high quality images with dramatically reduced dose.
Upon selection of the intelligent organ programs, the system settings such as kV, AEC chamber and dose per image are automatically selected to provide the lowest possible dose for outstanding image quality. Besides optimization of exposure settings, the built-in CAREFILTER feature automatically introduces the appropriate copper (Cu) filter for reduction of patient’s skin dose according to examination type.
Compared to conventional anti-scatter grids, Siemens grid technology is simply in a different league. With up to 20 percent higher transparency than other grids, it is another avenue for dose reduction while maintaining high image quality. Understanding that in some clinical examinations, working without a grid results in even lower doses, the grid in AXIOM Aristos FX Plus is designed for easy removal and storage simply with the push of buttons. This new detector housing also comes equipped with new patient hand grips for additional comfort and stability - thereby improving patient positioning and image quality.
Another simple but effective customer-focused feature is the availability of system tabletop and support in a variety of patient- or child-friendly color schemes. These new color options allow you to customized system design to suit your clinical environment.
AXIOM Aristos FX Plus is built on the Siemens common user interface syngo. It fully supports multiple DICOM 3 standards for improved interface between modalities and hospital network. What it means for the department is the easy integration into existing HIS/ RIS*, PACS and any network of DICOM printers within the clinical environment.
The high level of connectivity provides quick access to relevant patient data, archived images as well as the capability to distribute images rapidly within radiology, to other departments and even outside of the institution. This leads to streamlined clinical workflow that goes beyond departmental boundaries.
