Radiology departments play a prominent role in the service structure of a hospital. i.s.h.med* radiology integrates organizational processes in the clinic and image archiving systems in service facilities.
It supports the communication between radiology and the rest of the clinic in terms of organization. Hospital-wide scheduling provides various planning tools that enable the quota-based, day-based, or time-based planning of requested services, taking into consideration all other appointments of the patient within the entire institution.
i.s.h.med* radiology provides the radiology department with direct access to all patient-related information and therefore also to the context of the request (clinical order).
i.s.h.med* radiology, as a scalable system, can deliver tight integration of DICOM sources of all kinds, either on a departmental basis or throughout the entire organization – not just on the findings work station, but also as part of image distribution and display outside the radiology department.
i.s.h.med* radiology supports the radiology findings workflow from dictation by the radiologist (including the possibility of online/offline speech recognition) through to typing by the secretary and distribution of the validated document to the requesting department.
