In the field of cardiovascular applications a comprehensive cardiac exam can be performed – including morphology, myocardial viability, cardiac function, perfusion, and angiography – in just one examination.
In the important neuro radiological fields of diffusion, perfusion and BOLD imaging, MAGNETOM Sonata's superior performance gives a clear advantage. The system's outstanding gradient technology generates EPI data with high stability and exceptionally short echo spacings. As a result, ghosting and susceptibility artifacts are reduced to an absolute minimum.
Optimized patient exam process with IPA coil technology
High Productivity
The revolutionary Integrated Panoramic Array(IPA) coil concept optimizes the entire patient exam process. The need to position or change coils is virtually eliminated. IPA allows you to simultaneously scan with up to four coils. Moreover, in close to 95% of all studies you do not have to change coils at all.
With Integrated Panoramic Positioning (IPP) you can select coils remotely as well as move the patient table. And to perform multiple exams, you just preprogram a sequence of exam steps.

High Patient Comfort and Acceptance
