The NeuroGam™* neurology processing software provides a wide variety of tools for quantitative and qualitative analysis of SPECT or PET brain images. This comprehensive brain analysis application is fully integrated into an e.soft workflow and allows for comparisons to be made with a normal specific population (SPECT only).

* NeuroGam is developed by the Segami Corporation, Columbia, Maryland

Features and Benefits

• Aids in the interpretation and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and other brain diseases
• Functional SPECT and PET images matched with the Talairach atlas
• Quantitative analysis of brain images in both Talairach and patient spaces
• Quantitative analysis of brain images in either arterial basins, Broadmann’s functional areas or user-defined areas
• Pre- and post-therapy comparison of functional brain images of the same patient
• Comparison of functional SPECT data with a normal database
• Quantitative analysis calculates:
  - Number of elements within an ROI
  - Area of each corresponding region as a percentage of the entire volume
  - Maximum and minimum pixel values
  - Mean pixel value
  - Standard deviation of the values in all pixels in each corresponding ROI
• Interactive color bars to help visualize hyper- or hypo-perfused areas of the brain
