Open design for superior accessibility
Excellent ergonomic conditions exist for both operator and patient, even during biopsy procedures. The patient can be examined in standing, sitting or recumbent position.

Generous gantry free-space
The 65-cm gantry opening (SID) allows easy patient positioning
Flexible configuration
The stand as well as the generator with the radiation protection shield are stand-alone. To enable flexible applications, we offer the generator console separately as a special accessory.
Object table
Easy to change with by pulling it out of the base plate.
Isocentricity for user convenience
Motorized isocentric movement offers precision and time-savings when positioning patients. The isocentric movements of the swivel arm help to maintain the proper height between projections. In addition, you can change between angle settings – every angle from +130° to the inverted 180° – without readjusting the height.
QuickSwitchTM
MAMMOMAT 1000 features our QuickSwitch. With this release button on the object table you can easily change the cassette using only one hand. Increases workflow and decreases operator fatigue.

Excellent image quality
"Our radiological practice has been working with two MAMMOMAT 1000 systems from Siemens for two years now. The image quality is excellent and tops some digital mammography systems available on the market. Apart from the excellent image quality, we especially appreciate the high patient-comfort, good operability, and the extreme reliability of the system."

Remote Control
The hand-held control allows for adjusting height and angulation – remotely. Additionally, a duplicate set of fixed controls is located at either side of the swivel arm.
Flex2* – Two-way flexible angle compression paddle
Flex2 compression plate flexes in two directions:
SoftSpeed – Two-speed compression
Siemens MAMMOMAT compression unit moves in two steps:
Opcomp automatically determines the optimal compression for maximum image quality
Opcomp senses breast thickness and “compressibility”. It compresses as long as the breast is soft and pliable, then stops - precisely when image quality is maximized.
Opcomp spares your patient unnecessary discomfort and enables a consistent and reproducible compression technique.
