- Quickly turnaround test results – Siemens developed the Turnaround Time Monitor to notify technologists of tests that are about to exceed the caregiver’s expected turnaround time. This feature improves the lab’s ability to consistently deliver results on time and to support quality initiatives.
- Efficient, paperless work environment – NOVIUS Lab offers access to external links which assists in providing information to technologists. In addition, MedCentral Health System technologists no longer need to print worklists, and microbiology is paperless. User-defined work cards and other associated work aides facilitate paperless microbiology.
- Increase staff productivity – NOVIUS Lab provides user-defined work views and tools that bring multiple information sources into a single view. Using features like automated sample tracking and auto-release of test results, MedCentral Health System increased billable tests per FTE by approximately 10%.
