Treatment

Pulmonary vein antrum ablation has been performed under fluoro and intracardiac echo guidance. syngo DynaCT Cardiac images were used for visualization of the three-dimensional left atrial morphology.

Comments

Shortly before the syngo DynaCT Cardiac acquisition the patient swallowed some barium mesh in order to achieve contrast enhancement of the esophagus. By that the esophagus could be segmented and its position could be visualized relatively to the left atrium during the procedure.
